1. Aside from the intermittent frustration with check-in and timeliness on other limited matters, the overall experience was positive, and if it were not for a substantial rate increase in January 2012 I would still be staying at the Hilton LAX when in LA on business.

6. That being said, do they really need to charge around $30 for one egg, an order of toast and a cup of coffee? Can we not get a chicken or tuna sandwich in the bistro? Do we really have to go to the restaurant? On a positive note, I will say that on this last trip this August, they have really upped the friendly factor in customer service.

9. Other positives: the lobby area is nice, there is obvious and friendly security at entrances, 24 hr room service and the L1 cafe is open 24 hours.
