2. But, next time I am in Houston, I won't return here and I wouldn't recommend it as there is a good choice of hotels in this price range in the area.

3. The location of the hotel is good for the Galleria, a 10-15 minute drive, and has good selection of restaurants across the road (such as the Outback Steakhouse, Starbucks and a Thai).

4. The adjacent restaurant made up for some of the downfalls, with a good (although fairly expensive) buffet selection for breakfast and fairly good standard steak/grill/burger/salad food in the evening.

6. ' Most of the shopping and dining are a good 10-15 minute drive east on Westheimer and all other things being equal - I would recommend staying at one of the many hotels just minutes from the Galleria and most of the restuarants also.

7. Overall, I got a discounted rate and therefore felt the value was pretty good but this hotel would be a disappointment if paying the normal $200+ rates Hilton charges for their full service properties.

8. I came close to giving this hotel an overall average rating - but the friendly service of the front-desk staff kicked it up to a very good rating for me.

9. But it had a good HD plasma and an HD receiver (not always the case), finishes were reasonably up to date, good bedding, and the usual solid Hilton staff service.

10. As a Hilton Gold, was given breakfast coupons normally good only for cold buffet, but I was offered the full buffet.
