1. Most hotels in big cities have three main attributes: they are older so they are furnished so, they are smaller then rooms found in newer construction, and often the heating/ac/water/etc may have other little nuances because, as I said, the building is older.

3. The breakfast room isn't big enough for the hotel, and when we were there (the Yankees were in town), the both the hotel and the breakfast room was packed and we ended up eating standing up.
