1. The traditional guest room was much nicer, although slightly less luxurious and new than most Westin products I have stayed in.

5. As an added bonus, it so happened that my husband needed a new pair of 'stylish' readers so he was able to walk right into the eyeglass store on the ground floor and purchase two pairs from the very friendly staff at Buten eyewear.

6. I'm a former new Yorker and honestly watching the ice skaters from the window in the hotel, walking over to Saks and Macys to shop, getting cupcakes at the bakery in the neighborhood, it felt like I was in 'Brookmanhattan.

7. We had cocktails in the new bar, Over Vine, which had a really great vibe, dinner downstairs at McCormick & Schmick, and brunch the next morning at Ingredients (Yum.
