3. Hotel grounds in mint condition - including gym and tennis courts, rooms are spacious and well maintained and air is fresh - never walked into a room that smelled dingy and it does get humid in the Carolinas.

4. Right across the street we recommend the Terrace Cafe with Breakfast(omelets,red Velvet waffles and Smores french toast,& great coffee), Lunch, and Dinner(fresh fish,fried chicken, and regional food) as well as some shops and other dining choices.

9. everything about the hotel was top notch--excellent attentive service, the interior decor was sophisticated and elegant with fresh flowers (bouquets of easter lillies perfuming the lobby as you walk in), the bathrooms are spacious and marble and the linens are high count cotton, smooth on your skin and soft but not limp.
