My room was located in the older portion and you could hear the creaking floor as soon as you crossed from
newer
to the older portion, and the noise from the floor wasn't any better in my room.

The hotel was actually two separate buildings molded into one, a
newer
building which is the front and an older building on the back.

newer
property, or else was very well maintained and had been redecorated.

The hotel itself is interesting - part of it was once an old detention center for young girls, onto which the
newer
part was built - which makes for some circuitous routes to reach your room.
"Comfy and convenient "
