9. Being from the UK, I decided to spend more on my flights (direct) and less on my Hotel, and chose The Flamingo as a mid range hotel for my 10 night stay, as I was on a solo Poker holiday I could not of made a better decision and met loads of like minded people, I visited Vegas in the Cowboy week, 3 weeks before Christmas 2011 after doing my homework knowing that the poker rooms would be very active with the Cowboys in town, As I am from the UK I did not know what to expect with the Cowboys/Cowgirls, I was very surprised, I found them very smart, well mannered, and very polite people,I think these people helped make this Vegas weekOK now to the hotel, check in no problems 10 mins, I had booked a Deluxe room and asked for an upgrade to a Go Room, but none available, I asked to be near a lift and was given a room @ 6 rooms away from a lift, the room looked a little dated but was clean, beds clean,a nice newish bathroom,an old style tv that had a great picture, clean wardrobe and draws, a safe, aircon/heating that was easy to work, the only thing to let the room down was the carpet very dated but clean, I was pleased with the room after reading some horror stories on here.
