1. Our room was clean, but old looking in its bathroom fixtures, The bed was newer and very comfortable.

6. Apparently you can upgrade to the newer rooms for $10 a night and these are supposed to be a lot better.

7. It doesn't have the glitz and glitter of some of the newer hotels on the Strip, but if you want good value for your money, a variety of restaurants, and the feeling of an old friend, the Gold Coast is the place to stay.
