1. I was able to connect to some kind of general-use wireless access provided by a well-known travel site, but it didn't work that well, very frequent service interruptions.

6. We have stayed at almost all the other hotels downtown (including the Golden Nugget [the most upscale hotel, but we found it to be large and impersonal and a bit snooty and wannabe strip-like], the Plaza [mixed experiences - it`s been a while, but it felt a bit gritty back in the day], Vegas Club [OK rooms but lacks personality], Golden Gate [really quaint and cozy in a bygone ere kind of way and great shrimp cocktails], Four Queens [again, nice rooms but slightly impersonal], Binions [not the same since it lost the 'Horseshoe', the Benny`s Natural breakfast special and the million dollar display], the Fitz [OK but generic], and Lady Luck [before it closed]) but our first choice for playing and staying downtown is easily the Fremont.

9. This is indicative of the level of customer service and the generally warmer, more intimate atmosphere at the Fremont that keeps us coming back for more.
