2. The streets were fine in daylight, just walk purposefully and don't look like a tourist with a map in your hand: and don't get drawn into conversations or make eye contact.

4. One can find 8 dollars deals in other parts of town like little Italy so you need to shop around if you want to park for a few days and use public transportation (highly recommended.

5. The other customers were checking their internet (by the way Aida offers a nice iMac station in the lobby to use if you travel without your computer) on the different sofas and all looked like the right international type of tenants we like to find when travelling.

10. I'm not sure what consumer laws are like in the USA but a hotel would not get away with this in Australia.
