1. Polk Street is where many locals hang out and it is the best spot to go bar hopping or go to a nice restaurant if you want to escape the tourisy stuff for a bit.

3. Area is not the best, overpowering smell of urine in the entire building, walls so thin we heard next doors TV until 5am and a party going on somewhere in the block.
