4. But if you want clean, comfortable, cheap accommodation in a good location and can live with a tired decor, then it's hard to imagine that you could do better in San Francisco.

5. It is a fact that the hotel is old and certainly has a particular smell specially on walksides and frontdesk, but that is not an inconvenience at all, just to mention that the hotel would be much better if it makes a few renovations.

6. There are many better and newer hotels in the area with large rooms and amenities provided but then they would probably cost a lot more for them also.

9. If you want to visit San Francisco and can't afford much then stay in the Union Square Plaza, it will do the job & is in a good location, however my advice would be to spend a little more and hope to find somewhere a bit better.
