Just to clarify this is not a 5 star hotel but we have rated it a 5 star given its fantastic location next to Union Square which is perfect for exploring the city, it is excellent value relative to everything else around, the rooms are fine and clean but also very importantly the staff, Rodel in particular, are extremelly welcoming and could not have been more helpful.

5. The staff are very friendly and helpful as were the other guests and the downtown location was perfect for shopping, site seeing, parks and transport to other attractions in the bay area.
