5. Go to the Pinecrest Diner for the best breakfast in SF, served 24 hours a day.

6. The rooms are spacious, it often is available for a bargain on Priceline, and the views from the high-floor corner rooms are honestly some of the best in the city (Coit Tower, Bay Bridge, Golden Gate, Transamerica Pyramid, etc.

7. Union Square seems a good choice but is not the best plavce to go out at night.

8. It sits tall and solid on the Geary side of Union Square and boasts some of the best architecture on the square itself, but perhaps this is all that is going-for a declining Westin.
