1. Right off of the lobby is a quaint and welcoming little bar called '1915', next to a quiet area with a big fireplace and comfy seating, nice to warm your hands at on a damp and windy evening.

4. Having read reviews on here before visiting, I requested a higher floor room on the backside of the hotel and that worked out nicely; my room was pretty quiet most of the time (some occasional city noise and the 'ding' of the trolley on Powell St.

6. I stayed in San Francisco over the Thanksgiving weekend, and although it was a quiet weekend in the city, and I could have gotten a room anywhere, I choose to try a small boutique hotel that fit my needs perfectly.
