2. Whilst the member of staff checking us in was relatively friendly the bell hop seemed less than happy that we were able to take our own cases up to the 12th floor.

3. My husband had organized balloons and cake to be in the room when we arrived and there they were - the most enormous bunch of balloons and a divine chocolate cake beautifully presented: a happy birthday message was written in chocolate on a glass plate.

10. The Taj is beautiful and both the restaurant and bar are great (the warm nuts and olives during happy hour are incedible), but what really distinquishes this hotel is the service.
