5. The hotel is just a few blocks from Union Square and so is very convenient to a lot of shopping, etc, but since it is a wee bit away from the Square, it's much quieter than you would expect.

There is a fridge in the downstairs kitchen which offers complimentary water and soda - this extra little touch definately did not go un noticed with us as having the convenience of grabbing a refreshment so easily and complimentary before heading out for some sightseeing or returning home for the day was a great gesture that went a long way.

10. For a romantic getaway, or even just a quieter place to catch up on sleep after a busy day touring San Fran, there are quieter, roomier hotels down along Lombard Street (that have convenient bus access and walking distance to many of the hot spots) that may be better suited, as was our case.
