8. Shopping is also close by as is the cable car turn around, which can get you to Fisherman's Warf via a really cool tour of the City.

9. No problem getting to the west end for museums and Golden Gate bridge (take the open top bus tour -- I listened to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries on my iPod, as the bus drove across the GG Bridge at 45 mph in the bright sun and cool breeze.
