1. There's a lovely library bar downstairs where residents are offered a free glass of wine in the evening, which means people congregate there and there's a really good atmostphere, that you don't often get in town hotels.

5. However overall I would highly recommend the Rex for it's friendly staff, location, cosy rooms and the lovely bar area, so much nicer than the large, soulless hotels which all look the same.

10. Fortunately it wasn't cleaned, nor was it clean 5 hours later when we returned, so we were graciously moved to a lovely King Executive on the 3rd floor: 2 windows, lovely view to the garden, spacious.
