1. You come in and you expect the best: great location, reasonable prices, friendly staff at the reception, nice promises and nice lobby, but from the first minute you step into your room and get a closer look all of your hopes and aspirations for the holiday to come fade away.

2. If you have a sense of adventure, are not going to spend much time in the room anyway & want to experience South Beach for a night or two this is a very reasonable place to stay.

3. The best part was that the price was reasonable and it is basically right on the beach and within walking distance to a lot of things in the South Beach area.

4. The only reason to stay here is that the beach is right next to the hotel, and a short walk to lots of restaurants & bars.

6. Other issues included blocked toilets, arrogant staff on the front desk who seemed unwilling or unable to deal with problems (see the earlier story about another member of our party who was charged again and was given differing reasons for the hold being placed on his card).

7. The only reason we were able to make the best of it was the direct ocean access and pool.

8. For reasons I can not fathom we also had the skirting board made out of carpet - this was coming away from the wall where it had been glued on.

9. The pool area was reasonable with a good sized pool and sun chairs however access from the hotel is poor as you have to walk all the way round the building from the lobby.

10. We stayed at this hotel in febuary 2007 one of the main reasons we stayed here was to stick to a budget.
