1. The only tiny and I do mean tiny thing that I will mention (which is no reflection on the hotel) the alley directly behind the hotel is filled with dumpsters (30-I counted) and for some reason they choose 5:30am to dump them so you will wake up early if you are a light sleeper but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

2. I selected the Amalfi Hotel over other hotels we've stay at in Chicago for several reasons: The website pictures of the room were nice, the amenities I wanted (free wifi in rooms) were available, great location, and what specially helped to make my decision was the parking/room package, manager's evening wine/ cheese reception and the continental breakfast served on 'each floor'.

7. The hotel is chic and stylish though it is low rise so although our top (6th) floor room had reasonable views of Marina city those lower down, or at the rear of the hotel have no view.
