1. Breakfast was good and there was always access to the second floor lounge for snacks(generally cookies,fruit, and the fabulous espresso/cappucino machine).

4. I really liked the discrete service- you were left to help yourself most of the time but the friendly, courteous staff were often present to refill wine glasses and clear tables- generally going above and beyond and making you feel welcome and comfortable.

9. The hotel amenities were generally excellent though there was an occasional tendency towards the NYC 'attitude' that I would not expect from a hotel in the UK at a similar price; don't let that put you off though - I think that's part of the charm of New York.
