In checking in, the front desk clerk never mentioned the pre-pay, and when asked if we could get a
better
room (king instead of two queens), we ended up with a larger corner room on the top floor of the hotel.

Note that this is a hotel with a multitude of room floor plans, for the same price, some rooms will be bigger/
better
than others.

It is on the expensive side but if the hotel gave me a
better
rate or I got the same rate as I did on priceline - I will definitely be back.

note: Upon arrival, I requested that the mini bar (small fridge and snacks) be emptied from our room completely,
better
to not tempt late night, expensive cookies and such.

The location could be a tad
better
, it's over by Love Park and there is a bit of a homeless element nearby (not to mention Occupy Wall Street setup in front of City Hall when I was visiting) but a few minute walk and you're at the shops on Walnut/Chestnut and the bars and restaurants in that neighborhood.
