Things I liked about this hotel:-staff were very helpful and friendly-I love the decor and age of the hotel (if you are used to upscale, modern hotels with all brand
new
amenities, this is NOT the place for you.

In the afternoon, wine tasting was offered in the lobby and we met another couple,
new
ly married, who were going on the same cruise we were joining.

The building was NOT just gutted and a
new
hotel build inside the exterior walls of a very old building.

No, not every inch seems freshly
new
, but wouldn't you rather stay in a place that makes you feel like you've really been swept away from your daily humdrum than one made of pressboard plywood? The continental breakfast was the only forgettable part -- I was hoping for a little more protein.

The bed sheets were clean but worn out, should have been replaced with
new
linens.
"The historic nature of the hotel, it's like stepping back in time to an era that no longer exists. "

Antiques around, sweetly done, staff was wonderful, and across the street from the amazing Toulouse Petit
new
Orleans style restaurant with the best Happy Hour in town, and surrounded by other great restaurants as well.

We took the terrific
new
Lite Link light rail system from the airport to downtown Seattle - cost was $2.

If you like "old and regal" rather than "

It's NOT a brand-
new
shiny-looking place like a Marriott or Hilton, but it's well-preserved, clean and was way more interesting than a cookie-cutter hotel.
