1. Things I liked about this hotel:-staff were very helpful and friendly-I love the decor and age of the hotel (if you are used to upscale, modern hotels with all brand new amenities, this is NOT the place for you.

5. No, not every inch seems freshly new, but wouldn't you rather stay in a place that makes you feel like you've really been swept away from your daily humdrum than one made of pressboard plywood? The continental breakfast was the only forgettable part -- I was hoping for a little more protein.

7. Antiques around, sweetly done, staff was wonderful, and across the street from the amazing Toulouse Petit new Orleans style restaurant with the best Happy Hour in town, and surrounded by other great restaurants as well.

10. It's NOT a brand-new shiny-looking place like a Marriott or Hilton, but it's well-preserved, clean and was way more interesting than a cookie-cutter hotel.
