4. Also: no A/C, which isn't a big deal in a true ocean view property, but when you're 400 yards away upstairs in a 6plex, it doesn't cool off fast at all.

There is no air conditioning which is fine as the rooms are ocean breeze cooled, but at night you are subject to the moaning of the islands stray cats and we had a baby near us that screamed at the top of its lungs at midnight and 6 am and the parents didn't seem to care as it went on for 60 to 90 minutes until we finally complained.

7. The trick to cooling is to keep the louvers open to allow the breezes from up mountain to sweep through.

8. The units are all cooled with trade winds and fans, so you have to keep the windows open all the time, which lets in the noise as well as the breeze.
