3. It's contemporarily decorated, easy to check-in and out (like all Marriott Courtyards), has a nice gym that's free for guests and a fun/hip diner adjacent to the lobby that's very popular with guests and locals alike.

4. This downtown Mariott is approximately 10 blocks from Union Station (Amtrak), 1 block from 'the Max' (Portland's surface street train - free for the downtown corridor and approx $2.

10. It is on the Max line so we take the Amtrak train to Portland, walk a few hundred feet and get on the Max for a free ride to our hotel.
