8. We were escorted from the front door to the door of our room via golf cart, given a nice little tour of the grounds, and shown into a room with a perfect view of Cinderella's Castle (and, alas, of the crane they're using to build a new Fantasyland, but I'm sure that is only temporary).

9. Our nighttime ritual became coming back from the parks, 'chillaxin' as my newly teenage daughter calls it, on the beach waiting for the Spectacular fireworks and letting my 'I'm bored' son watch the Disney movie on the giant screen that the hotel provides nightly.
