1. I love it when windows are completely covered with room-darkening drapes and this room was nice and dark in the morning.

6. Don't get me wrong, the room was great, clean, bigger than we expected with a nice bathroom stocked with the normal Doubletree quality amenities, from Crab Tree and Evelyn this time.

7. The free shuttle took us to Greektown which was nice and we just hoped on the People Mover to get back to the hotel, very quick and easy to navigate.

10. Walking distance to the Joe Louis Arena but detroit doesn't exactly inspire feelings of safety, so a nice bonus was the free shuttle offered by the hotel to the arena and the nearby entertainment district of Greektown.
