9. The furniture is outdated, room lighting is poor and ill-placed (particularly in the bathroom), interior doors and fixtures are old, and the bedding while clean didn't feel as crisp as a four-star Starwood or Marriott property.

10. There is nothing wrong with the hotel - location is certainly strong (convenient to Metro, GWU, and DC tourist attractions), the property is clean, and the staff is welcoming.
