1. We liked getting up early, enjoying the sunrise on the beach, going for a quick swim, grabbing a bite to eat, and then exploring the N side of Maui (2x on the Road to Hana).

9. However, I would like to note that the restaurant right next to the hotel served a wonderful breakfast, and was reasonable (considering Hawaii's costs).
