1. The room has a large sliding door that opens to the lanai, and better yet let in the amazing cool breeze during the night.

We were up around 5 or 6 every day (you can't help it, the sun rises very early, the ocean is beautiful with the low-angle sunlight), and the very first thing we did each morning was take in the incredible view from the patio (very private, we never saw other people, but you can see surfers in Hanalei Bay, very cool).

7. Joan had this unit stocked with great movies (including many that were actually filmed in Kauai (way cool)), beach chairs, beach towels, tennis rackets, a cooler, little amenities like razors/toothbrush, etc (in case you forgot one), a fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, and plates/glasses etc.
