3. During our stay we hung out with multi generational families, honeymooners, families on vacation, couples on return visits, and guests of the Four Seasons lamenting the lack of athletic options at their hotel (which happens to be right next door the the Kona Village Resort).

4. We asked that the resort general mgr be made aware of our fustrations, which in the next 3 days he did not even reply back to us.

5. The last time I was at KVR was over 10 years ago and while the general ambience has not changed, the level of service has.

6. I have to say this is my first trip to any of the hawaiian islands and kona in general is pretty ugly, unless you have a thing for lava.

9. There are little gekos that run around the room but you'll get those at any hotel in Hawaii and they generally will hide from you.

10. If you are like me, and generally stay at middle-of-the-road hotels and are looking for a splurge and a little luxury, I would highly recommend the KVR.
