1. Only surprise was no a/c throughout the hotel but could open windows safely and the air was cool and comfortable, not an issue.

2. There was a small courtyard pool area but it was cool weather-wise so I didn't get a chance to use it, and didn't see anyone else out there.

3. Santa Barbara was surprisingly cool at night, so the heated pools were wonderful after an active day of hang gliding, biking, kayaking or hiking.
