1. We had no noise from outside, which was good, and were very happy with the bar and the staff downstairs.

2. We were happy with our room (10th floor), there is an in-house concierge who helped us book a number of excursions and recommended restaurants nearby (Hoola Grill) that we were just great and not outrageously pricey.

4. I'm going back to Hawaii at the end of the month (May 2012) and tried to book at another hotel, which was fully booked so they phone operator said she should book me in here and I was really happy knowing my experience last time.

7. There are scads of really nice restaurants close to the hotel and the happy hour prices at the local places are attractive.

8. Average sized balcony - 6th floor facing opposite diamond head so not much of a view but for coffee in the am and a cheap happy hour before dinner it was fine.
