1. Front desk and service were gracious and efficient and there were a number of small yet pleasant surprises, like the fantastic water pressure in the shower (not always the case in older buildings) and the beautiful and arboreal breakfast room.

4. Turn-down service, while sometimes can be just 'going through the motions' in many hotels, the Jefferson staff nailed this, a pleasant way to return to the room after dinner, no stress of getting back to an unkempt room when you are on a tight schedule.

5. There were lots of little touches that made us feel well cared for, including the paper (2) delivered to the door, the free shoe shine (with room pickup and drop-off), the soaking tub, the walk-in shower, and mostly the way all the staff bends over backward to make your stay more pleasant.
