3. The combination of lovely historic surroundings, cheerful and friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food makes it a definite high point of my stay as well as a hotel I'd recommend to any of my friends and colleagues.

9. The hotel's public areas are beautiful, the staff ALL were upbeat, helpful, and kind, the restaurant, where we had breakfast two of the mornings, was excellent, and the suite was roomy and absolutely clean and well kept.
