1. Overall would not stay here again - better hotels nearby, unless price was right.

2. One can rent bikes at the Union Station (only a block away) and do sightseeing while biking all over the National Mall and surrounding areas - much better than walking (and it is a LOT of walking) and very enjoyable.

3. The one thing that bothered me was that the breakfast downstairs (while not part of the hotel) was extremely expensive, and coffee not so great - you're better off walking to Union Station and having breakfast there - they have all kinds of coffee shops there.

4. Our group of art museum friends booked into the Phoenix Park for four days in October and we absolutely could not have made a better choice.

6. I believe a room on an upper floor on the street side facing Union Station would be better, but that's a question of taste and priority I guess.
