1. Upon arriving at the hotel the desk clerk was able to check me into my room early and provided a free upgrade stating 'hopefully this will help make your day a little better'.

5. Some things we wished were different/better: front desk staff was just ok, didn't go out of way to help; computer chair and some cabinet handles were not clean and a bit sticky (yuck); weird noises from fridge and some train noises at night.
