1. Hotels in DC are very expensive and this one is certainly that.

2. Hotel located very close to downtown, but I don't feel safe in the area, you don't want to park your car on independent parking - seems to me too risky, so I decided to pay little extra: $34+tax for parking pretty expensive.

3. The Chinatown/Galley Metro station is 3 blocks away at 7th and H Streets -- about a 5 minute walk -- which makes it easy to get to most places in the city with relative ease and minimal expense.
