1. The next morning I asked for it to be repaired as the door looked like it had been forced at some point which is probably how the chain got broken.

2. We were given no option but to accept, the room under the stairs, no direct light, clean enough but on arriving later that night we found there was no safety chain, it had been broken off.

3. But the room lock was broken and didn't fit into a very rinky-dink door jamb (fixed right away when we called the next day), one light controlled the water closet, vanity area and shower including fan - couldn't turn it off without dousing all lights to these areas.
