1. The lagoon area is lovely too and it's hard to believe you are just off the highway.

2. We blew into town on a family emergency, not knowing when we would be leaving the area and the staff worked very hard to accommodate our needs.

3. The Continental breakfast was Great, very big selection of danishes, muffins, breads, dry cereals, juices included orange and apple, they also had whole hard-boiled eggs and fruit salad, did not try the Belgian waffles the hotel was know for, we were in a hurry.

Yes slightly older 1980's circa BUT well kept and staff friendly, complimentary breakfast was definitely MORE than I expected but did get aittle old after 6 am's, great selection of fresh pastries from croissant - bagel to muffins, dry cereal, waffles on request, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit whole and cut up citrus each AM along with the usual beveragesComfortable queen beds, microwave and mini-fridge very handy and worked.

Staff very friendly & helpful; Very Clean Room; Expanded Continental Brkfst w/eggs (hard-boiled), waffles, fresh whole & diced fruit, in addition to standard fare; I was in Santa Barbara for an entire week of Medical appointments and tests, so the ambiance was very welcome; Only potential problem was there is no elevator & I use walker/cane, but I was on ground floor, so no problem.

10. The breakfast buffet is a real bargain: fresh fruit salad (not canned), granola, healthy cereal, yogurt, fresh waffles made on site, juice, good coffee, hard boiled eggs, pastries etc etc.
