1. Being by the airport, there is a certain amount of noise, and there's a recurring fan that may disrupt sleep.

Given the proximity to San Diego airport and a couple of military airfields, aircraft noise wasn't that noticeable - although this may be due to it being mainly larger commercial aircraft flying around rather than the military fighters/helicopters that are more abundant slightly further up the coast.

7. We heard absolutely every toilet use in the hotel and were woken at 4 am by commercial trucks backing up in front of the hotel and sounding that 'beep, beep, beep' noise they do.
