1. The hotel is classy, especially for the main tower and is a little outdated.

2. Cons: very, very, stiff bed; 5-6 dead flies below the window; stuffy; very outdated furniture and decor (felt like I was staying at Grandma's house, which is incredibly unromantic) Bottom line, I'm sure it would be good for a business trip.

I originally had booked a Garden room (the Garden and Courtyard rooms are in the hotel's two-story 'motor court'-style area) but was very disappointed to find that it was outdated (like, to the 1950's--there was pink tile in the bathroom), small, and had a connecting door to the room next door, which was occupied.

7. I would compare this room to a low end Best Western or Comfort Inn because of outdated furtniture, old carpet, smells funny, gold wall paper and frames, old TV, minimal wireless connection, etc.

10. So on the one hand- there are motel rooms (clean though) that are outdated w/ a parking lot pool and the other a hotel (can't tell you about those rooms) where the lobby is fairly swank and at least one of the lobby bathrooms looks pretty modern and updated.
