3. Of the ones I saw, I might check out The Nines more closely if I was going to stay in Portland again, but Portland really lacks the type of upscale hotels that other cities have.

10. The 'overnight' room service has only cold entrees and takes forever, there are no fabulous amentities, and the whole property lacks the pizzazz that the Westin reputation (and Westin room rates) imply.
