2. Shower: yes it is an awkward configuration and you might get a bit wet when you turn it on, but you can solve this problem easily by (a) turning the head towards the wall before you turn it on, and (b) quickly reaching in to turn it on and waiting outside the shower until it warms up.

3. Only negative was the "living room" furniture - they have fainting couches instead of regular couches & we found those awkward to sit on to watch tv.
