All in all, a pretty good hotel if you don't mind the
shabby
chic look, and you don't get unlucky with the rooms.

The hotel is very old, and is a bit
shabby
in certain aspects but as someone who owns a 100 year old home, I just found that it added to the charm.

The St Ann was
shabby
, the elevator smelled horribly so you had to hold your breath for the entire ride, the rooms were dirty, the phone did not work and the shower had a small trickle to offer.
"Even with reservations 7 months in advance, they booked us in to a seedy, dirty `sister` hotel called St Ann`s. "

Not so fine are the
shabby
