2. What I got was a tiny room with a plaster ceiling that was crumbling and falling down in one corner; furniture dated about 1970 and bolted to the wall (guess so it didn't fall over or get stolen?); worn and dirty industrial teal carpeting; thin sheets and uncomfortable mattress also cir.

4. I didn't find my room excessively small but the mattress was old and uncomfortable as others noted, the comforter old a cheap, and the headboard was not secured and just leaning against the wall so I ended up having to pull the mattress and frame away from the headboard so when I turned over at night, the motion didn't make the headboard bang against the wall.

5. Upon arrival we were met by a friendly employee behind the desk though we were somewhat uncomfortable with the fact the `secured` parking was a small narrow lot across the street with cameras surveying it.

7. TV's that don't work, confused reservations, no water pressure (to be fair, that's common in the Quarter), dirty bathrooms, intrusive cleaning staff, uncomfortable rooms, virtually no useable air conditioning, and cockroaches are not uncommon.
"Why is this place so popular?? " Read full review on YahooTravel   4/14/2006 Vote
8. I did not feel uncomfortable walking (with my boyfriend, however) to and from the hotel in the wee hours of the morning.
