1. There is also a museum and botanical gardens at City Park, but we didn't have enough time, since we were enjoying the food at Cafe Degas down the block, excellent but pricey.

2. The only thing I'd say was that the restaurant options immediately around the hotel were pricey and not that great, but just trek up to Magazine or hop on the cable car and you'll find better places in a snap.

3. Resturant next door were pricey but there are lots of places along St Charles Ave that are walkable and good.
