1. The areas not immediately cleanable were filthy - behind the bedside table, under the bed etc - but the worst bit was above the door that adjoined the next room, where the dirt must have been an inch thick (we weren't looking for it, it was just really obvious.

2. The dust ruffles were filthy; the chair in the room smelled of fried chicken; the A/C/heat unit was filled with chunks of dust and dirt; there was no lid on the toilet; and the shower was hard to operate.

3. The breakfast was absolutely appalling, most of the items were out of stock, the buffet and all the tables were filthy with food debris, and combined with the plastic plates and cutlery made it feel like a bad cafeteria experience.
