The open atrium concept means that noise from convention parties can get
loud
.

Our only complaint was that there was a dance group there that was practicing with very
loud
music while we were beginning our breakfast.
"This was a nice, comfortable hotel with a good location for our interests in Houston. "

Because of the openness, the noise of the lobby bounces around the entire interior, so if you don't stay up high enough it's quite
loud
, especially if there is a high school theater convention going on while you're there.

It can be a bit
loud
when there are a lot of people in the bar area - located in the middle of the ground floor, with the ceiling being open all the way up 20 plus floors.

I understand the comments about the atrium being
loud
, but the room is far enough back with a large bathroom bufferring not to cause any sleeping issues.

Let me warn you, if you are booked on the 7th floor or possibly the 8th and 9th, you better bring plenty of Ambien, because the noise from the LobbiBar flows
loud
ly into the room.
